Good question to which I have no answer. It looks like there will be one less contender in the EPL.

They need a goalkeeper, a center half (badly) and now a new striker. They will 6-8th at best next year.

Huge news. Gunners better go on a spending spree or I agree that they are mid-tablers at best without an infusion of talent.

I don't think the loss of Henry is too huge. It was time. They've got enough great young talent, and a big squad to start playing with their own identity and style. It seemed like whenever Henry was on the pitch, everything had to go through him, as if the youngsters were sometimes in awe of him. Provided they can get a couple of good signings, preferably with a bit of experience, they'll still end up top 4. The real worry is whether Arsene Wenger leaves or not.

I agree. But if you saw alot of their matches last season without Henry, you'd have seen that they played brilliant football, and made so many chances that they couldn't convert. When Henry was in the team, he was too much of a focus. The youngsters needed something like this to happen, the departure of Henry, so that they can step up.

If they can keep Wenger and Fabregas, and use the money wisely in the transfer market they'll be in great condition.

Arsenal are playing moneyball in football, selling a player while they are still valuable in the market and bring in young prospects. They probably have to bring in someone to make up those 25 goals Henry would score in a season when he's 100%. Whether moneyball works in football will remain to be seen, but for a player who has won it all, The World Cup, European Cup, FA Cup 3 times, French Championship, Premiership twice, top premiership goalscorer 4 times, Euro Golden Boot twice, it will be a good career move for Henry.

The yiddos are celebrating already...
